Bowers has the S_Cal FACTOR

Bowers Metrology, UK agents for Sylvac, the prominent Swiss measuring instrument manufacturer, has announced the launch of Sylvac’s advanced new S_Cal FACTOR digital indicator. Based on Sylvac’s proven digital indicator design, it is possible to programme multiplication factors from 0 to 99,999 into the ingenious new range of gauges. Thanks to the this new instruments’ programmable factor, the S_Dial FACTOR indicators are now able to be used to display a multitude of different measuring units including volume, force, distances etc.

Also, as the ingenious new Sylvac indicators are designed to accept the input of alternative measuring ratios, many common, albeit previously problematical gauging tasks can now be performed with the cost effective new gauges. The shop floor proof Sylvac digital indicators can be used for routines such as gauging the external diameter of cylindrical components held in ‘V’-blocks, or they can be retrofitted to devices such as countersink gauges, measuring situations where conventional 1:1 ratio indicators would be rendered useless.

The S_Dial FACTOR indicator collection is available with a 12.5mm measuring range for the 233 series and both 12.5mm and 25 mm measuring ranges for the 213 series, with a switchable resolution of 0.01mm or 0.001mm. Amongst their many features the new Sylvac indicators have an inch/metric conversion, a pre-set facility, an RS232 output and the 213 series has a large rotating LED display; ideal when the gauges are being used in a horizontal orientation.
